SANTA CRUZ SUNBURN

My wife

and kids

like to vacation

in Santa Cruz

the beach

sun, etc.

So I was writing

a story

about a super-powered

alcoholic

on the beach …

The sun overcast,

didn’t feel a thing

time traveling

with the Intoxicated Detective …

2 years later

my leg still hurts

from the burn received

My circulation

permanently wired

to that Santa Cruz sun

One doctor suggested

that the pain was

in my mind,

but I could of told him

that

a long time ago.
